About Us
The Company
The company was formed in Leeds in January 2022 and gained Care Quality Commission (CQC) accreditation in July 2022. Since then, the company has grown organically in and around Yorkshire and beyond.
We had realised the importance of having service providers that have experiences in the sector, know what they are doing and are passionate about people under their care. It was decided that it was time for us to revolutionise the way care was provided and delivered and make a difference to people’s lives. This planted the seed that led to us starting PRN healthcare staffing and which we have since grown within the Yorkshire region and still growing within other counties in the UK.
For every one of our clients, we aim to provide high quality of services enabling every one of them to live at home with choice, respect, dignity and within a safe environment built on trust.

Ajie Jaguraga - Registered Manager
I started my career in the NHS as a NMC registered nurse, bringing my experiences from Accident and Emergency nursing care, Cancer (including palliative care), Elderly care (Dementia and Alzheimer’s), Infection Control nursing, Research, Education and Training, Tropical Nursing and working in both Residential and Nursing Homes. I have also worked in private sectors within the healthcare industry.
After Over 15 years of experience within the healthcare industry I wanted a change by providing a person-centred service that could make a real difference to people’s lives within their own communities.
Michelle Cantwell - Registered Manager
I started working in care over 30 years ago. Within this time, I have gained experience within different sectors of care from elderly, mental health, learning disability, autism and dementia.
In 2012 I worked for the NHS specialising in learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. I decided to go this route after my daughter was diagnosed with learning disabilities. I felt this was a good way to gain experience to support my daughter and get a better understanding of the conditions. This is where I worked my way up from a support worker to a registered manager working for a charity in supported living for adults with learning disabilities until 2021. Since then, I have worked within specialist domiciliary care in front line support, and managerial levels.

Achieving High Quality Service
With PRN’s passion for good care, over 30 years of experience in care from the management teams and industry knowledge we have learnt to provide a fully tailored person-centred service. There are two key areas to building first class service for our clients (our staff and training we provide).
Our Staff
Our carers are not ‘just carers’. They are often the only people our clients see all day. As one client said “The carers always have a smile on their faces and always felt they care, they have a warmness to their presence to fill the gaps to the empty days”. We are very selective in picking our carers, we have a rigorous set of recruitment procedure based on our core values, we obtain a DBS and references as well as conducting a thorough value-based interview process. Training
We believe that a key difference at PRN Healthcare Staffing is that our carers are the best they can be. Every PRN staff is provided with full training and induction for which they are paid, unlike some other care providers. They then shadow experienced staff before going into the community. Only after these important stages are they allowed to visit clients on their own. We ensure that our training is at the forefront of current best practices and industry insight. We fundamentally believe that better training means better carers, which simply means better care for our clients.
